On Saturday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi emphasized that numerous initiatives by the NDA government over the past 11 years have significantly enhanced farmers' prosperity and transformed the agricultural landscape. He underscored the long-term impact of his administration's 'farmer-friendly' programs.

As he prepares to celebrate the first anniversary of his third term, Modi stated on Sunday (June 8, 2025) that the ruling BJP-led National Democratic Alliance has redefined women's leadership in development during its 11 years in power. He reiterated that initiatives undertaken during his tenure have led to increased prosperity for farmers and comprehensive changes in agriculture. Modi assured that his government's commitment to farmers' welfare will continue with even greater vigor in the future.
On the eve of marking one year of his third term, Modi reiterated that the BJP-led NDA has redefined women-centric development. He noted on social media that women are excelling across various sectors, including science, education, sports, startups, and the armed forces, serving as inspirations for many.
He highlighted several welfare programs that have greatly benefited women. Modi pointed out that initiatives like the Swachh Bharat Mission have ensured dignity through clean sanitation, while financial inclusion has been promoted through Jan Dhan accounts.

He mentioned that the Ujjwala scheme has provided gas cylinders to poor families, ensuring smoke-free kitchens, while the Mudra loans have empowered millions of women entrepreneurs to realize their dreams on their own terms. Modi also noted the significant impact of homes built under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana in women's names.
The 'Beti Bachao Beti Padhao' initiative has ignited a national movement for the safety of girls, he added. Modi shared posts detailing the benefits women have received from government schemes.
These posts highlighted that the maternal mortality ratio (MMR) for live births in the country decreased from 167 per lakh in 2011-13 to 93 per lakh in 2019-21, and the number of households receiving piped water increased from 3.23 crore in August 2019 to 15.64 crore by May 2025.
The posts also emphasized various other welfare measures for women, noting that over 10 crore cooking gas connections have been provided under the Ujjwala scheme.
In his posts, Modi stated, 'Our mothers, sisters, and daughters have faced numerous challenges in the past, but today they are not only actively participating in the vision of a developed India but are also setting examples in education and business. The successes of our women over the past 11 years are a source of pride for the nation.'
