Modi Addresses Massive Rally in Cooch Behar
In anticipation of the West Bengal assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a large gathering in Cooch Behar on Sunday. He launched a strong critique against the TMC government led by Mamata Banerjee, asserting that the overwhelming crowd in Cooch Behar signifies the end of TMC's reign in Bengal.
Transformation Movement Gaining Momentum
Referring to the rally at Brigade Ground in Kolkata, the Prime Minister stated, 'The campaign for change that began there has now spread throughout Bengal. The enthusiasm from Brigade Ground has instilled fear in the TMC's 'syndicate', and today, the people of Cooch Behar have endorsed that change.'
Fear of TMC vs. Trust in BJP
PM Modi highlighted the contrast between TMC and BJP, saying, 'On one side, there is the fear instilled by TMC, while on the other, there is the trust offered by BJP. TMC's terror of 'cut money' and corruption stands against BJP's promise of development. While there are conspiracies to settle infiltrators, we are committed to securing Bengal by driving them out.'
Accountability After May 4
In an emotional tone, the Prime Minister referenced the incident in Sandeshkhali, stating, 'On one side, there are atrocities against daughters and their cries, while on the other, there is my guarantee of safety and respect for women's power. I assure you that after the elections, every sin will be accounted for. After May 4, the law will take its course, and no matter how powerful a goon may be, justice will prevail.'
Mamata's Government Undermining Democracy
The Prime Minister accused the state government of disrespecting constitutional institutions, citing the incident in Malda where judicial officials were held hostage, which shocked the nation. He remarked that TMC has dismantled law and order in Bengal, transforming a state that once attracted job seekers into a hub of migration.
