PM Modi Celebrates International Yoga Day 2025 in Visakhapatnam
Global Unity Through Yoga
On June 21, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed a large gathering in Visakhapatnam to commemorate the 11th International Yoga Day. He emphasized the global acceptance of yoga, stating, "Today, the entire world is engaging in Yoga. The essence of Yoga is to unite, and it is heartening to witness how it has brought the world together." He extended his warm wishes to the approximately 300,000 attendees in Vizag, Andhra Pradesh.
A Decade of Yoga's Journey
PM Modi referred to the event as a symbol of worldwide solidarity. He remarked, "Reflecting on the past decade of Yoga, I recall the moment when India proposed a resolution at the UN General Assembly to designate June 21 as International Yoga Day. In a remarkably short span, 175 nations rallied behind us. This level of unity and support in today's world is extraordinary."
