Highlights from the Events

Kaliramna showcased an impressive performance in the women's discus throw final, earning the bronze medal. Jamaica's Samantha Hall took home the gold with a throw of 61.66m, while Canada's Julia Tunks secured silver with a throw of 60.67m, placing Seema in third with her best throw of 58.65m.

In the weightlifting event, Lovepreet initially lifted 212kg in his second clean and jerk attempt, achieving a total of 388kg, which set a new Commonwealth Games record. However, New Zealand's David Liti made a remarkable comeback by lifting 223kg, surpassing Lovepreet's total by just one kilogram to claim the gold medal.

India's Medal Count

As of now, India has amassed a total of 17 medals at the CWG 2026, which includes three gold, ten silver, and four bronze medals.
