Piyush Goyal Praises PM Modi's Leadership Ahead of Tamil Nadu Elections
Goyal Expresses Confidence in NDA's Victory
On Monday, Piyush Goyal, a central minister and the election in-charge for the Tamil Nadu BJP, commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership skills while expressing optimism about the NDA's success in the upcoming Tamil Nadu assembly elections. Speaking to the media after participating in the 'My Booth is the Strongest Dialogue' event in the Mylapore assembly constituency, Goyal stated that the Prime Minister's initiatives would boost the confidence of party workers, enabling them to defeat the corrupt DMK.
He emphasized that PM Modi is genuinely connected with the workers, guiding them on how to win the hearts of the public, reach various segments of society, and serve the people of Tamil Nadu. Goyal estimated that several lakh workers were connected through this audio bridge to listen to PM Modi, benefiting from his suggestions on campaigning, reaching voters, and winning the election to overcome the corrupt DMK government. He asserted that the NDA is poised to win as they work together like a family.
PM Modi Addresses Party Workers Virtually
This event coincided with PM Modi addressing party booth workers virtually under the 'My Booth is the Strongest Dialogue' initiative in Tamil Nadu. He criticized the DMK government for obstructing the implementation of central government schemes and depriving the public of their benefits. Modi highlighted that millions of youths and small traders have received loans without guarantees under the Mudra scheme, and a significant number of women have also benefited. However, he lamented that many poor families could not avail the benefits of the PM Housing Scheme due to the DMK government's attitude.
Modi pointed out that inadequate surveys led to the exclusion of eligible individuals from the benefits. He stated that if proper measures had been taken, millions of families in Tamil Nadu would have received permanent housing. The Prime Minister reassured BJP workers that the government has always ensured that the benefits of schemes reach the public, taking steps to eliminate middlemen. He specifically mentioned Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) schemes, which provide financial assistance directly to people's bank accounts. The elections in Tamil Nadu are scheduled for April 23, with counting set for May 4.
