Piyush Goyal Criticizes Tamil Nadu CM MK Stalin's Divisive Remarks

Central Minister Piyush Goyal has sharply criticized Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin, labeling him as divisive and anti-India. Goyal's comments come in response to Stalin's accusations against the central government regarding the delimitation process, which he claims punishes progressive states like Tamil Nadu. Goyal expressed confidence in the NDA's potential victory under Edappadi Palaniswami's leadership and highlighted the importance of women's representation in politics, criticizing the Congress and DMK for their stance on the Women's Reservation Bill. This political exchange underscores the ongoing tensions between state and central leadership.

Central Minister Piyush Goyal's Strong Remarks

On April 21, Piyush Goyal, a central minister and the election in-charge for the Tamil Nadu BJP, labeled Chief Minister MK Stalin as divisive and anti-India during his comments. Goyal accused Stalin of blaming the central government for using delimitation to penalize progressive states and criticized him for branding the BJP as anti-Tamil Nadu.

Goyal expressed confidence that under the leadership of AIADMK General Secretary Edappadi Palaniswami, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) would secure a significant victory in Tamil Nadu.

He stated that the issue with Stalin is his divisive nature; he fails to accept India as a unified nation. Goyal described Stalin's statements as dangerous, asserting that both MK Stalin and his family are against India and Tamil Nadu. Previously, he accused the DMK and Congress of betraying women by blocking the Women's Reservation Bill in Parliament.

Goyal emphasized that they have harmed the interests of women in India who are eager for one-third reservation in Parliament, as well as in state assemblies for the upcoming 2029 Lok Sabha elections. He noted that Prime Minister Modi aims for our sisters, daughters, and women of India to receive their rightful share in the political process. Unfortunately, he lamented that the Gandhi family of Congress, the Banerjee family of West Bengal, and the Stalin family of Tamil Nadu have completely let down the women of India.

This incident follows CM MK Stalin's remarks condemning the proposed delimitation process by the central government, which he described as punitive towards progressive states like Tamil Nadu. In a video message posted on X, Stalin claimed that the delimitation bill introduced by the BJP-led central government aims to penalize Tamil Nadu for its effective population control and industrial performance.
