Piyush Goyal Accuses Rahul Gandhi of Spreading Misinformation

Allegations of Misinformation by Rahul Gandhi

On Saturday, Union Minister Piyush Goyal criticized Congress leader Rahul Gandhi, accusing him of resorting to lies and misinformation to mask his shortcomings. Gandhi has claimed that the upcoming Maharashtra Assembly elections in 2024 represent a 'blueprint for fraud in democracy.'

He further alleged that this 'match-fixing' would also be replicated in Bihar and in other regions where the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is facing defeat.

The BJP responded sharply to Gandhi's remarks published in an article in 'The Indian Express,' accusing the opposition leader of concocting bizarre conspiracies out of desperation after repeated electoral losses.

In a post on 'X,' Goyal expressed, 'It is unfortunate that Rahul Gandhi has to rely on lies and misinformation to cover up his failures. His continuous attacks on India's democratic institutions reveal his disdain for the Constitution given by Dr. B.R. Ambedkar.'
