Photographer Deletes Wedding Photos After Bridegroom Refuses Break
An Unusual Wedding Incident
Hunger can lead to unexpected reactions. When a person is starving, they may become irritable or angry, sometimes resulting in actions that are hard to predict. A recent incident illustrates this perfectly. On a wedding day, a photographer was busy capturing moments throughout the event. After hours of work, fatigue set in, and he felt a strong hunger pang. He requested a 20-minute break from the groom to eat and rest, but the groom denied his request. This refusal infuriated the photographer, who then deleted all the wedding photos right in front of the groom.
The photographer shared this story on the social media platform Reddit. He clarified that he is not a professional photographer; rather, he usually walks dogs and posts their pictures on Instagram and Facebook as a hobby. A friend had asked him to photograph his wedding to save money. Despite expressing his lack of professional experience, the friend insisted that the quality of the photos was not a concern for him.
The photographer recounted that he reluctantly agreed to take pictures at his friend's wedding for a promised payment of $250. On the wedding day, he arrived at the venue, where the ceremony began at 11 AM and lasted until 7:30 PM. Although food was served to guests at 5 PM, there was no place for him at the table, and he was discouraged from eating, as the groom wanted him to keep shooting. He regretted agreeing to this task, especially given the extreme heat and lack of air conditioning or adequate water.
Feeling utterly exhausted, he asked both his friend and the groom for a 20-minute break. The groom's response was that he should continue taking pictures without a break or risk leaving without payment. This comment struck a nerve with the photographer, who was already struggling with hunger, heat, and fatigue. In a moment of frustration, he deleted all the wedding photos and declared that he would no longer be the photographer.
He also mentioned that had he received the $250 at that moment, he would have only been able to buy a glass of water. By sharing this incident, the photographer sought opinions from others, wondering if his actions towards the groom were justified or not. What do you think about this situation?
