Peter Phillips Ties the Knot with Harriet Sperling in Intimate Ceremony
A Royal Wedding in England
Peter Phillips, the first grandson of the late Queen Elizabeth II, has exchanged vows with nurse Harriet Sperling during a private ceremony attended by prominent members of the royal family, including King Charles, Queen Camilla, Prince William, and Kate Middleton. This event took place on Saturday at All Saints Church located in Kemble, a quaint village near Cirencester in the southwest of England. Although the ceremony was private, it attracted a significant royal presence.
Attendees of the Ceremony
Among the attendees was Princess Anne, Peter's mother, who was accompanied by her husband Timothy Laurence. King Charles and Queen Camilla were also in attendance, along with Prince William and Kate. Additionally, Princesses Eugenie and Beatrice, the daughters of Prince Andrew, were present, adding to the royal guest list.
About the Couple
Peter Phillips holds the position of 19th in line for the British throne but does not perform official royal duties, instead working as a sports management executive. His bride, Harriet Sperling, is a dedicated paediatric nurse.
The couple first garnered public attention in May 2024 when they were seen together at the Badminton Horse Trials. They continued to make appearances at various events, including Royal Ascot, where Harriet mingled with royal family members. Their engagement was announced in August 2025, with the wedding date confirmed in April of this year.
Previous Marriages
Peter was previously married to Autumn Kelly from 2008 until their separation in 2021, and they share two daughters, Savannah, aged 15, and Isla, aged 14. Harriet was also married before, to Antonio St. John Sperling, and has a daughter named Georgina from that union.
Earlier this year, all three teenagers were seen together at an Easter church service with the royal family, providing a glimpse into their newly blended family dynamic.
