Pawan Sharma, a former BDC member representing Garola and Ulansa panchayats, has shared a heartfelt message with the local community, expressing his gratitude and announcing his withdrawal from the current Panchayat election process.

Reflecting on his previous term, Sharma noted that he was elected five years ago with significant support, which allowed him to serve the community. He also ran for the position of Panchayat Samiti President but lost by a narrow margin of one vote, highlighting the strength of community support despite political affiliations.

Throughout his time in office, Sharma addressed numerous critical issues with the government, such as the lack of teachers in schools, challenges in electricity and water supply, agricultural and livestock concerns, healthcare services, and road infrastructure. He emphasized his commitment to public service, prioritizing the needs of the community over party politics, regionalism, and caste divisions.

In his message, Sharma stated: “If I made any mistakes during my tenure, I request the people of Garola-Ulansa to forgive me as their son and brother.”

With several candidates vying for the BDC member position this election, Sharma has chosen not to participate. He urged voters to look beyond party lines, caste, and regional affiliations when selecting a candidate who can effectively tackle the issues facing both panchayats.

In closing, Sharma wished all candidates the best in the upcoming elections and reassured the community that he would remain by their side through both joyful and challenging times.
