He noted that while the competition was fierce, Parveen was confident in her abilities. Looking ahead, he mentioned her aspirations for the upcoming World Cup in April and the 2028 Olympics. The local community is eagerly preparing a grand reception for her return on October 4. "It was a challenging competition, but we believed our daughter would secure the gold. She assured us, 'I will definitely bring back the gold.' Her next target is the World Cup in April, and she will triumph there as well. Following that, she has her sights set on the 2028 Olympics," Lakhpat Hooda stated.

Parveen Hooda clinched her second gold medal for India in boxing, defeating Chen Nien-Chen from Chinese Taipei in the women's 65 kg final at the Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya on Friday. She won the match by a narrow 3-2 split decision. This victory is particularly significant for Parveen, as it serves as redemption after losing her bronze medal at the 2022 Asian Games due to a doping whereabouts failure, marking a triumphant comeback against a former world champion.

In the initial round, Parveen approached the match cautiously, countering her opponent's jabs effectively while exchanging punches. She landed several body shots, while Chen responded with a quick right hook. India dominated the first round, winning it 5-0.
