The primary focus of the meeting was to address the increasing traffic congestion in the market and the frequent rule violations by vendors. Traders were encouraged to provide their input, while officials detailed the measures planned to restore order.


After thorough discussions, SDM Meti announced a special initiative scheduled for January 3 and 4 in the Palampur market. This campaign aims to educate vendors about traffic laws, with penalties imposed on those who violate them. The Municipal Corporation of Palampur, Public Works Department, Revenue Department, and Police Department will all be involved in this effort.


Additionally, she highlighted that awareness campaigns will be conducted every Friday and Saturday to promote ongoing improvements in traffic management and discipline within the market area.
