Arrest of Pakistani Citizen in Kushinagar

In a significant operation, law enforcement in the Pataherwa area of Kushinagar district, Uttar Pradesh, apprehended a Pakistani national on Wednesday for illegally residing in India. The authorities also arrested two accomplices involved in the creation of counterfeit identification documents, including an Aadhaar card, PAN card, and voter ID for the foreign national.


According to police sources, the individual, identified as Sirajul Haq, was taken into custody in the village of Gaglwa Chain Patti within the Pataherwa police jurisdiction. He had fraudulently obtained various Indian identity documents, including an Aadhaar card, PAN card, voter ID, and Ayushman card, allowing him to conceal his true identity.


The investigation revealed that two individuals, identified as Chand Akhtar and Shabbir Azam, were also arrested for their roles in producing these fake documents. Authorities are currently searching for a third accomplice, Sheikh Subedar. The police have initiated legal proceedings under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code and the Foreigners Act.
