Pakistan Conducts Fateh-II Missile Training Launch

On Tuesday, the Pakistan Army executed a training launch of its domestically produced Fateh-II missile system. According to a military statement, this exercise was carried out by the Army Rocket Force to train personnel, validate technical specifications, and assess the performance of various subsystems.

The Fateh-II missile system boasts advanced avionics and modern navigational tools aimed at enhancing accuracy and survivability, as noted in the military's announcement.

Senior officials from the Strategic Plans Division, Army Rocket Force Command, and the Pakistan Army were present at the launch, alongside scientists and engineers from strategic organizations. The military reported that the exercise was deemed a success.

Pakistan's civilian and military leaders, including President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, and Army Chief Asim Munir, commended the technical skills and dedication of the teams involved in the launch.

The military emphasized that this launch is part of ongoing initiatives to bolster operational readiness and enhance system performance.

In recent years, Pakistan has conducted several tests of the Fateh missile series. Notably, in September 2025, a training launch of the Fateh-4 cruise missile was carried out, boasting a range of 750 kilometers. Additionally, in May of the previous year, the army successfully test-fired a surface-to-surface missile with a range of approximately 120 kilometers during a time of increased tensions with India.
