Owaisi's Strong Condemnation of Military Actions
AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi expressed strong disapproval on Sunday regarding the military actions by Trump and Israel against Iran, as well as Pakistan's operations in Afghanistan. He warned that if these attacks do not cease immediately, the entire region could descend into chaos. In a post on X, Owaisi labeled these assaults as utterly condemnable, describing them as unethical and illegal. He conveyed his heartfelt condolences to those affected.
Owaisi emphasized that the attacks on Iran by Trump and Israel are particularly reprehensible, especially given that negotiations were ongoing in Geneva. Reports indicate that over 200 individuals have lost their lives in Iran, including 108 victims from an assault on a girls' school. He reiterated that such actions are entirely unethical and illegal, expressing his deep sympathies. He urged for an immediate halt to the attacks on Iran, warning that failure to do so could lead to widespread instability in the region, where approximately 110 million Indians are employed.
Furthermore, he criticized both Israel's aggression towards Iran and Pakistan's actions against Afghanistan, stating that these incidents illustrate how both nations are forces of aggression and turmoil in their respective neighborhoods. Owaisi's condemnation comes at a time of heightened tensions in West Asia following coordinated military strikes by Israel and the United States on Iranian targets, which reportedly resulted in the death of Iran's Supreme Leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, and significant casualties across the country.
Meanwhile, tensions between Pakistan and Afghanistan have escalated following airstrikes by Pakistan on several Afghan cities, including Kabul and Kandahar. Pakistan's Defense Minister Khawaja Asif has accused the Taliban-led government of harboring terrorists, declaring an "open war" against Afghanistan. Despite reports of heavy casualties on both sides, Afghanistan has expressed a willingness to engage in dialogue amidst the escalating conflict.
