Owaisi's Remarks on Minister's Resignation
Muradabad (Uttar Pradesh), July 25 - In response to the resignation of Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan, Asaduddin Owaisi, the national president of the All India Majlis-e-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM), hailed it as a triumph for justice. He stated that this moment signifies a victory for the youth who have been vocal against corruption within the framework of justice and the Constitution. Owaisi spoke to reporters before addressing a public gathering at Jama Masjid Park in Muradabad on Saturday.
He emphasized that the resignation of the education minister represents a significant achievement for the struggles and efforts of the nation's youth. Owaisi remarked, 'This success is a victory of truth over falsehood. It is a testament to the sacrifices and hard work of countless young individuals.'
He extended his congratulations to those involved. When asked about the government's perception under Narendra Modi's leadership, Owaisi asserted, 'If the government believes it can act without consequence, this movement has sent a clear message that tyranny will not be tolerated. To govern a democracy, one must operate within the bounds of the Constitution.'
Owaisi addressed the gathering at approximately 6:45 PM, later than the scheduled 5 PM start time. Due to rain, the area's electricity was cut off, and the administration did not permit lighting. Nevertheless, a large crowd remained, with supporters illuminating the park using their mobile phone flashlights.
In the dim light of mobile screens, Owaisi conveyed that this movement has demonstrated that the country will function according to the Constitution. He noted that the Constitution grants every citizen the right to fight for their rights. He called for all opposition parties and citizens to unite in their struggle.
Questioning the delay in Dharmendra Pradhan's resignation, Owaisi remarked that the government had been reluctant to yield but ultimately had to make a decision.
