Over 3,800 Pilgrims Depart for Amarnath Temple Amid Tight Security

Jammu, July 27 - On Monday, a group of over 3,800 devotees set off for the Amarnath Temple, marking the 12th batch to leave from the Bhagwati Nagar base camp in Jammu, as reported by officials. They noted that a total of 127,326 pilgrims have departed from this base camp so far.

Under strict security, 3,823 pilgrims traveled in 140 vehicles towards the Baltal route, chanting slogans like 'Bam Bam Bhole' and 'Har Har Mahadev'. This group comprised 2,966 men, 855 women, and two children. Due to repair work, the Pahalgam route has been temporarily closed for the pilgrimage.

Since the commencement of the Amarnath Yatra on July 2, over 415,000 devotees have visited the sacred Baba Barfani. The 57-day annual pilgrimage will conclude on August 28, coinciding with the festival of Raksha Bandhan.
