The District-Level Under-19 Major Games recently held at Government Senior Secondary School, Kaliara, showcased exceptional talent from the Noorpur block. Athletes Avni and Jayantika triumphed in badminton, while Jatinder Pal Singh Dhillon secured a gold medal in wrestling. Their achievements were celebrated by the School Management Committee, and they have now qualified for the state-level competition camp. The District-Level Under-19 Major Games took place at the Government Senior Secondary School, Kaliara (Kangra), organized by DSSA Dharamshala. The event highlighted exceptional performances, particularly from the Noorpur block.


In the badminton championship, the duo of Avni and Jayantika from Public Senior Secondary School, Thoda (Noorpur) emerged victorious, demonstrating impressive skills and teamwork. Additionally, Jatinder Pal Singh Dhillon earned a gold medal in wrestling, bringing honor to his school and the local area.


Upon their return, the triumphant athletes received a warm welcome at their school, where the School Management Committee offered their congratulations and best wishes. The athletes attributed their achievements to the support from their school, coaches, and the DSSA Noorpur team, and they have now been chosen for the state-level competition camp.


The event was attended by notable figures such as former Principal Tarun Pathania, coaches Lavneesh Rana and Munish Rana, former Zila Parishad member Aparna Pathania, along with Bhanupriya and Deeksha Pathania, whose presence provided encouragement and recognition to the young athletes.
