New Delhi, July 19: During the upcoming Monsoon Session of Parliament, which kicks off on Monday, opposition parties are calling for discussions on various pressing matters. These include the alleged misappropriation of donations at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya, issues surrounding ethanol blending, student protests, and the ongoing situation in Manipur.

Following an all-party meeting organized by the government on Sunday, Congress leader and Deputy Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Gaurav Gogoi, emphasized the need for the Centre to facilitate comprehensive debates on public issues rather than solely concentrating on its legislative agenda.

Gogoi stated, "We have highlighted these concerns and insisted on their discussion in Parliament. The theft of donations at the Ram Temple in Ayodhya is particularly significant. The government must show sensitivity towards this matter. Additionally, we are witnessing student protests, yet the government is not taking moral responsibility for these issues," he remarked to reporters at the Parliament House.

He accused the government of neglecting critical public concerns raised by the opposition. "Whether it's ethanol, student issues, the temple theft, or the situation in Manipur, if the government continues to evade these topics, it will face consequences," the Congress MP warned.

The all-party meeting, held a day prior to the Monsoon Session, is anticipated to lead to intense debates between the ruling party and opposition members regarding various political and legislative matters.

Chaired by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, the meeting included several Union ministers and leaders from various opposition factions.

The Monsoon Session, scheduled from July 20 to August 13, will consist of 19 sittings. The government has prepared several significant Bills for discussion, while the opposition is likely to advocate for debates on issues such as the situation in Manipur, student protests, the alleged theft of donations at the Ayodhya Ram Temple, women's reservation, and delimitation.
