Details of the Upcoming Event
According to sources, the event is scheduled for October 30 at 3:30 PM at 10 Rajaji Marg and is designed to mimic parliamentary proceedings. Approximately 40 speakers are expected to participate, with MPs from both the ruling and opposition sides presenting their views. Congress MPs Akhilesh Prasad Singh and Deepender Singh Hooda, along with TMC's Mahua Moitra and Kalyan Banerjee, are likely to represent the ruling side. Former Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar will preside over the session, with Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge also addressing the gathering.
Strategic Move Ahead of Major Rally
This initiative is viewed as a significant strategic move ahead of a large rally scheduled for November 1, which will protest alleged irregularities in voter lists. Congress communications in-charge Jairam Ramesh has claimed that the event is being held at Kharge's residence due to the denial of permission for other venues.
He reiterated demands for the resignation of the Chief Election Commissioner, accusing him of violating the Constitution, undermining electoral democracy, and presenting false information to the Supreme Court.
