Odisha Chief Minister Commends Military Action

In a recent statement, Odisha's Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi expressed his admiration for the armed forces, highlighting Operation Sindoor as a prime example of India's unwavering stance against terrorism, guided by Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership.

His remarks followed the Indian military's targeted strikes on terrorist camps located in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Majhi emphasized the nation's solidarity with its courageous soldiers.

He noted that 'sindoor' (vermilion) symbolizes India's heritage, sacrifice, and determination, asserting that Indian troops consistently demonstrate their readiness to defend this commitment.

Majhi pointed out that citizens across India are calling for a strong response to the recent Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed the lives of 26 innocent individuals.

He stated, "Our brave soldiers have delivered a decisive response to terrorism. Operation Sindoor has resulted in the elimination of terrorists and the destruction of their camps, marking a significant victory for our nation. The world acknowledges India's bravery," he remarked.

Majhi reiterated that terrorism would not be tolerated under any circumstances, affirming that India's resolute actions against it would persist under Modi's guidance. He declared that India would take a leading role in combating terrorism.

Earlier, in a post on X, the Chief Minister stated, "India stands united. I salute our valiant armed forces for their precision and determination shown in #OperationSindoor. Each strike against terrorism sends a clear message — we will not accept threats to our sovereignty."

He added that India is not only defending itself but is also progressing towards the complete eradication of terrorism, expressing appreciation for the army's bravery and affirming belief in their success.

In retaliation for the Pahalgam attack, Indian forces executed missile strikes early Wednesday on nine terror targets in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, including the stronghold of Jaish-e-Mohammad in Bahawalpur and the base of Lashkar-e-Taiba in Muridke.

The office of Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati also praised #OperationSindoor, describing it as a remarkable display of the courage, strategic precision, and unwavering commitment of the armed forces.

He stated, "Under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi ji, India reaffirms its steadfast position against any threats to its sovereignty. A clear and resolute message has been conveyed — India will not tolerate terrorism in any form."

Naveen Patnaik, the Leader of the Opposition in the Assembly and BJD president, also expressed his gratitude towards the armed forces, stating from Delhi, "I have been informed of the Indian armed forces' success in their operations against terrorists. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to them."
