BSF Women Soldiers Respond to Threats
The female soldiers of the BSF delivered a strong response to threats from Pakistan, engaging in fierce combat. The launch of Operation Sindoor, a direct reaction to the Pahalgam terror attack, sent shockwaves through Pakistan. The BSF successfully targeted and dismantled terrorist launch pads in Sialkot and Shakargarh, resulting in significant enemy casualties.
Courageous Defense in Jammu and Kashmir
During the operation in the Akhnoor sector of Jammu and Kashmir, the BSF's women soldiers, led by Assistant Commandant Neha Bhandari, exhibited remarkable bravery. Over three days, they defended multiple forward posts, inflicting considerable damage on enemy forces.
Defending Forward Posts with Valor
The courage displayed by the BSF women soldiers during Operation Sindoor has garnered widespread admiration. Under Assistant Commandant Neha Bhandari's leadership, eight female soldiers fiercely protected several forward posts in Akhnoor. They launched heavy fire on Pakistani positions, compelling the enemy to retreat. Neha expressed that this was a pivotal moment for them, and they seized the opportunity without hesitation.
Recognition from Leadership
BSF IG Jammu, Shashank Anand, praised the contributions of the women personnel, stating, "BSF's women personnel engaged in forward duty posts during Operation Sindoor. Our courageous women, including Assistant Commandant Neha Bhandari and Constables Manjit Kaur, Malkit Kaur, Jyoti, Sampa, and Swapna, fought valiantly against Pakistan during this operation."
Impact on the Conflict
The valor of the Indian Armed Forces left a significant impact on Pakistan, as the BSF successfully overcame the Pakistan Rangers at the border. The three-day conflict saw continuous gunfire and mortar attacks along the Jammu and Kashmir border. The BSF's female contingent played a crucial role, not only thwarting terrorist infiltration but also retaliating effectively and destroying enemy posts.
