The Left parties emphasized the necessity of maintaining national unity while advocating for diplomatic solutions to ease tensions with neighboring countries.

In a swift operation, India's armed forces targeted and dismantled nine terrorist infrastructures linked to Jaish-e-Mohammad and Lashkar-e-Taiba in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) during a 25-minute missile and drone strike early Wednesday.

These strikes, characterized by India as 'measured, non-escalatory, proportionate, and responsible,' were a direct response to the heinous Pahalgam terror attack that occurred on April 22.

During an emergency meeting of the Congress Working Committee, prominent leaders reaffirmed their full support for the armed forces and the government in safeguarding the nation's safety and integrity.

The Congress's highest decision-making body also decided to suspend all planned party activities in solidarity with the military.

"We take pride in our armed forces for delivering a decisive response against the terror camps in Pakistan and PoK through 'Operation Sindoor,'" stated Congress chief Mallikarjun Kharge, highlighting the importance of unity in preserving India's integrity.

The Leader of the Opposition in the Rajya Sabha emphasized the collective resolve to support the military's efforts.

In a social media update, Pawar mentioned his discussions with Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Defence Minister Rajnath Singh regarding the operation, pledging his party's unwavering support during these challenging times.

He noted the importance of a cautious approach in responding to terrorist threats, emphasizing that the strikes targeted camps in PoK supported by Pakistan.

"The Indian Army has always safeguarded our mothers and their traditions. We believe in truth, non-violence, and peace, but we know how to respond decisively to threats against our unity and sovereignty," he stated.

Sanjay Raut from Shiv Sena (UBT) criticized PM Modi and the BJP for politicizing the 2019 Pulwama attack and cautioned against similar actions regarding the Pahalgam incident.

"The credit for avenging the Pahalgam attack belongs solely to the Indian Army. Any attempt by a party or government to claim political credit is an injustice to the victims," he remarked.

Uddhav Thackeray, the party president, described the military's actions against terror hideouts as a "proud moment," commending the armed forces' capabilities demonstrated through Operation Sindoor.

Both the Samajwadi Party and Bahujan Samaj Party praised the military's efforts in 'Operation Sindoor.'
