Celebrating a Year of Progress in Odisha

Bhubaneswar: On Friday, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi highlighted the significance of Operation Sindoor, asserting that it demonstrates India's safety under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's guidance. This statement was made during a celebration marking the first anniversary of Odisha's inaugural BJP government.

Majhi expressed his admiration for the Prime Minister, who was present at the event, stating, “In the past, people would say ‘Modi hai toh mumkin hai’ (it is possible if Modi is there), but now the sentiment has shifted to ‘Modi hai toh desh surakshit hai’ (the country is safe with Modi in charge).” He emphasized that Operation Sindoor symbolizes the emergence of a resilient India that will not yield to challenges, declaring that this new India is poised to shape its own future.

The Chief Minister noted that under Modi's leadership, India is achieving unprecedented developmental milestones. He pointed out that over the past 11 years, all segments of society have seen progress. “India has ascended to become the fourth-largest economy globally and is on track to reach a $5 trillion economy. The rate of extreme poverty has plummeted from 27.1% to 5.3%. This transformation under your leadership is evident as the nation advances rapidly,” he remarked. He also mentioned that Odisha is progressing, with state initiatives aligned with Modi's focus on the poor, farmers, women, and youth.

Additionally, Majhi extended birthday wishes to President Droupadi Murmu, noting that the Odisha government secured an investment proposal of ₹17 lakh crore within just two days following Modi's appeal to industries during the Utkarsh Odisha: Make in Odisha Conclave held earlier this year.
