In a startling event in Betia, Bihar, a one-year-old child managed to bite a venomous cobra, leaving many astonished. The incident occurred in the village of Mohachhi Bankatwa in the West Champaran district, where the snake was killed on the spot. However, shortly after the encounter, the child lost consciousness.


The young boy, Govinda, was playing at home when a two-foot-long cobra slithered into the house. According to his grandmother, Mataeshwari Devi, the child mistook the snake for a toy and grabbed it, subsequently biting it. Reports indicate that the child even severed the snake into two pieces.


Following the incident, the child was rushed to the Majholiya Primary Health Center, where he received initial treatment before being referred to the Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) in Betia.


Dr. Divakant Mishra, the deputy superintendent at GMCH, confirmed that the child showed no signs of poisoning and is currently under observation. Fortunately, his condition is reported to be stable, although the family was understandably shaken by the event.
