Omar Abdullah and Farooq Abdullah Experience the Vande Bharat Train


Katra: The Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, Omar Abdullah, along with his father, Dr. Farooq Abdullah, took a ride on the newly launched Vande Bharat train from Srinagar to Katra on Thursday. They were welcomed by leaders and supporters of the National Conference upon their arrival.


Accompanied by his advisor Nasir Aslam Wani, Omar Abdullah reached Katra railway station this morning, as confirmed by officials.






Earlier, on June 10, Farooq Abdullah took his first trip on this train from Srinagar to Katra, expressing his joy at Kashmir's connection to the national rail network.


The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra–Srinagar Vande Bharat Express was inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on June 6 during his visit to Jammu and Kashmir, following a stop at the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra station.
