Following his post, the news of their marriage quickly became a hot topic. Reports indicate that the couple completed their wedding rituals on October 30, and Abdullah shared the news with the public the following day.

This new relationship comes just three months after Abdullah reached an agreement to end his marriage with his first wife, Payal Abdullah. On July 31, 2026, both parties informed the Supreme Court about their mutual consent to dissolve the marriage. During the court proceedings, senior advocate Kapil Sibal mentioned that Omar and Payal had agreed to resolve their differences and also to withdraw pending cases against each other. They sought the dissolution of their marriage under Article 142 of the Indian Constitution.

Omar and Payal Abdullah first met at the Oberoi Hotel in Delhi, where they were both employed. Their relationship blossomed, leading to their marriage in 1994.
