Omar Abdullah Declares National Conference Will Not Support NDA Government
National Conference's Stance on NDA Government
Omar Abdullah, the Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir, has announced that the National Conference (NC) members will not back the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government. The NC holds two seats in the Lok Sabha and three in the Rajya Sabha. When asked about reports of support for the central government from the Trinamool Congress and Shiv Sena UBT, Abdullah refrained from commenting on their motivations, stating, "Neither I nor you can answer that question."
Comments on Other Political Parties
During a press interaction in Bandipora, Abdullah remarked, "How can I predict what the DMK or Shiv Sena members will do? It is up to them and their conscience. They will go as far as their conscience leads them." He firmly stated, "As far as NC members are concerned, we will never support the BJP-led NDA government."
Visit to Khir Bhawani Temple
Additionally, Omar Abdullah visited the Khir Bhawani Temple in Ganderbal for prayers. Speaking to the media afterward, he mentioned, "The Khir Bhawani festival is on June 22, and people from around the world will gather here to seek blessings from the goddess. As the local MLA, I came to assess the arrangements and preparations being made. After discussing with the priests, I learned that a few things are needed. We will strive to complete these tasks before June 22."
