Rajbhar's Stance on Bihar Elections

Om Prakash Rajbhar, the national president of the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party (SBSP) and Panchayati Raj Minister in Uttar Pradesh, stated on Friday that if an alliance with the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) does not materialize in Bihar, he is prepared to form a coalition to contest the elections independently. He emphasized that this situation would not jeopardize his ministerial position, although he clarified that he is not motivated by the allure of the ministerial role.

During a review meeting of the SBSP in Navanagar, Rajbhar addressed reporters, asserting that running separately in Bihar elections would not pose a threat to his current ministerial role.

In response to a question, he remarked, 'We are not stating that we will not form an alliance in Bihar; our primary objective is to collaborate with the NDA for the elections.'

He further added, 'If the Suheldev Bharatiya Samaj Party does not secure an alliance in Bihar by 2025, we will certainly contest the elections by forming a coalition.' When questioned about the implications of contesting separately on his relationship with the NDA, he reiterated that he is not driven by the desire for a ministerial position.
