He emphasized the importance of their values and dedication in shaping a better future. The event celebrated the achievements of the organization and its members, with awards presented across various categories. Notable attendees included First Lady Jayshree Kambhampati and other government officials, who highlighted the critical role of scouting in developing essential life skills and community service.

A Call to Action for Young Scouts and Guides


In Bhubaneswar, Governor Hari Babu Kambhampati urged members of the Odisha State Bharat Scouts and Guides (OSBSG) to serve as beacons of hope for the future. During the state-level award ceremony held at Raj Bhavan's New Abhishek Hall, he emphasized the importance of their commitment, discipline, and values in today's society. The Governor commended the scouts and guides movement for fostering responsible citizenship through service, self-reliance, and ethical conduct. First Lady Jayshree Kambhampati was also in attendance.


Kambhampati remarked, "The Rajya Puraskar is merely a stepping stone in your journey," encouraging the youth to embody kindness, honesty, and leadership in their endeavors.


As the chief patron of OSBSG, the Governor expressed his pride in the organization's achievements and its outreach in even the most remote regions of Odisha. He recognized the state branch for securing multiple national awards and praised the tireless efforts of scoutmasters, guides, trainers, and volunteers in promoting values like compassion, environmental respect, teamwork, and service. Awards were presented to OSBSG members across eight categories, and the Governor congratulated all recipients, wishing the organization ongoing success.


Nityananda Gond, the Minister for School and Mass Education and ST & SC Development, attended as a guest of honor and highlighted the role of Bharat Scouts and Guides in teaching discipline and essential skills for overcoming challenges.


Suryabanshi Suraj, the Minister for Higher Education, Sports and Youth Services, and Odia Language, Literature, and Culture, also participated, stating, "Achieving the vision of a developed Odisha requires your involvement, participation, and leadership." Kali Prasad Mishra, the state chief commissioner of OSBSG, delivered the welcome address. During the ceremony, Padma Shri Debi Prasanna Pattanayak received the Utkal Jyoti Samman from Kambhampati.
