Support for Armed Forces

Bhubaneswar: The Chief Minister of Odisha, Mohan Charan Majhi, expressed his support for the Indian armed forces on Wednesday, commending their recent 'Operation Sindoor' targeting terror camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. He emphasized that the nation stands united behind its courageous soldiers.

Naveen Patnaik, the Leader of Opposition in the Odisha Assembly and president of the BJD, also acknowledged the armed forces' efforts, sharing a message of gratitude on social media with the phrase 'Jai Hind.'

In a post on X, Majhi stated, "India stands united. Salute to our brave Armed Forces for the precision and resolve shown in #OperationSindoor. Every strike on terror sends a clear message — we will not tolerate threats to our sovereignty."

This military action was a response to the recent Pahalgam terror attack, with Indian forces executing missile strikes on nine terror sites in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, including the stronghold of Jaish-e-Mohammad in Bahawalpur and the base of Lashkar-e-Taiba in Muridke.

The strikes were part of 'Operation Sindoor,' launched two weeks following the Pahalgam incident that resulted in the deaths of 26 civilians.

Majhi further elaborated in another social media update, stating, "In our culture, 'Sindoor' symbolizes not just a tradition but also sacrifice and determination. This sentiment resonates deeply with our soldiers."

He asserted that India is not merely defending itself but is actively working towards the complete eradication of terrorism.

"We commend the bravery of our army. We stand with them and believe in their victory. Hail India. Long live Mother India!" he added.

Regarding 'Operation Sindoor,' Patnaik, currently in Delhi, remarked, "I have been informed that the Indian armed forces have achieved success in their operations against terrorists. I extend my heartfelt congratulations to them."
