Odisha's Bold Step Towards Future Skills: Celebrating World Youth Skills Day 2025

Bhubaneswar: The government of Odisha is dedicated to nurturing a workforce equipped for the digital age, as stated by Industries, Skill Development & Technical Education Minister Sampad Chandra Swain on Tuesday.
During the celebration of World Youth Skills Day 2025 at the World Skill Centre (WSC), organized by the Skill Development & Technical Education department, he emphasized this commitment.
Swain also praised the recently introduced AI Policy 2025, describing it as a forward-thinking framework aimed at the inclusive and transformative use of Artificial Intelligence in governance, education, and industry.
A key highlight of the event was the announcement of job placements for over 700 young individuals who received training through the WSC and various state-led skilling programs, including Nua Odisha and the placement-linked training initiative.
The event featured participation from thirty students from WSC, RD Women’s Higher Secondary School, and BJB Higher Secondary School, showcasing 49 innovative projects led by students, with six projects receiving special recognition for their excellence and creativity.
