Bhubaneswar: On Thursday, officials from the Odisha Vigilance Department apprehended an executive engineer associated with the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation. This action followed the discovery of assets that significantly exceeded his declared income, according to a departmental spokesperson.
The anti-corruption team conducted raids on Wednesday, uncovering three multi-story buildings, a farmhouse, and three valuable plots registered in his name. Additionally, they seized 460 grams of gold and over ₹80 lakh in cash from his possession.
Furthermore, a legal case has been initiated against him for the unlawful possession of antler horns, the official added.
