Inauguration of Odisha Tex 2025
Bhubaneswar: Today marks the inauguration of Odisha Tex 2025, the largest textile exhibition in East India, led by Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at the State Convention Centre in Lok Seva Bhavan. The event is expected to attract over 500 participants, including prominent industry figures, senior officials from the government, and investors, all aimed at establishing Odisha as a key textile hub in the eastern region.
During the event, the state government will unveil six new parks dedicated to textiles, apparel, and wearable technology, as announced by Minister of Industries, Sampad Swain, following a review of the event preparations on Thursday.
These parks will feature state-of-the-art facilities and are set to commence operations shortly, according to Swain. He emphasized that Odisha Tex 2025 will act as a vital platform for promoting sustainable growth in the textile industry through the signing of Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs), industry networking, and significant policy announcements.
The minister reiterated the government's commitment to providing top-notch infrastructure and seamless arrangements to ensure the event's success. "This is more than just an event; it is a mission to highlight Odisha's capabilities in the textile sector and to create opportunities for investment, innovation, and job creation. This gathering will unite both global and national leaders to influence the future of textile manufacturing in our state," Swain stated.
Additional Chief Secretary of the Industries Department, Hemant Sharma, added, "This initiative will attract leading textile companies to Odisha and create substantial employment opportunities for our youth. With forward-thinking policies, world-class infrastructure, and a skilled workforce, we are establishing a strong ecosystem where textiles can drive industrial growth, empower women, and transform rural areas."
