New Guest House Initiative in Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has recently approved the establishment of Atithi Bhawan, a new guest house designed to enhance visitor convenience in Bhubaneswar's Unit-II, Ashok Nagar.

This decision was made official through an order from the General Administration and Public Grievance department, aligning with the state's Outreach Programme.

The guest house will provide accommodation for individuals traveling to the capital for various purposes, including official business, healthcare, or personal matters. The project will occupy around three acres of land, as detailed in the land schedule from the Directorate of Estates.

This initiative is part of a larger plan announced by Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari, who indicated that the government intends to build 30 guest houses across Bhubaneswar, each tailored to serve visitors from all 30 districts of Odisha.

According to the Minister, "Each guest house will feature 100 rooms, aimed at assisting citizens visiting the capital for healthcare or other essential needs," highlighting the government's dedication to enhancing accessibility and support for those coming from rural and remote regions.

This initiative underscores the government's commitment to citizen-focused services and inclusive development, particularly in facilitating healthcare access and administrative interactions for visitors from district levels.
