Odisha Government Takes Swift Action Amid Rising Tensions with Pakistan

Immediate Leave Cancellations for Officials
Bhubaneswar: In light of escalating tensions between India and Pakistan, the Odisha government has taken decisive action by cancelling all leaves for district collectors and Revenue Divisional Commissioners (RDCs). Those who are currently on leave have been instructed to return to their posts immediately.
An official notice from the Department of General Administration and Public Grievances was released on Friday, highlighting the urgent need for heightened security measures. The directive clearly states, “No leave shall be granted during this period, and those currently on leave must report back to duty without delay.”
Additionally, officials have been ordered to remain at their headquarters without exception.
This move follows similar leave cancellations in other states, including Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Haryana, as a response to the ongoing cross-border tensions.
