Odisha's Government Marks a Year in Office
In Bhubaneswar, the BJP-led administration in Odisha is gearing up to showcase its accomplishments from the past year. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi officially took office on June 12, 2024.
A significant meeting, led by Usha Padhee, the Principal Secretary for Housing & Urban Development and Commerce & Transport, was convened to outline the plans for celebrating the government's first anniversary, according to an official announcement.
Key officials from both departments engaged in discussions during this meeting.
Padhee highlighted the necessity of organizing the celebrations in a way that is meaningful, inclusive, and impactful, aiming to present the government's achievements from the last year, as stated in the release.
She stressed that the planned activities should reflect the administration's commitment to development, transparency, effective governance, and public welfare.
A variety of activities were suggested, including public outreach initiatives across all 115 Urban Local Bodies (ULBs), regional transport offices, and port areas to emphasize significant developmental milestones. Additionally, exhibitions and multimedia campaigns will showcase success stories and transformative projects, along with foundation stone laying and inauguration ceremonies for major initiatives across various sectors.
Padhee instructed officials to devise sector-specific action plans and ensure extensive public involvement in the upcoming events.
The meeting concluded with a resolution to finalize a detailed calendar of events, ensuring effective coordination among all relevant departments and stakeholders.
