He highlighted that Odisha is rapidly progressing on the path of development, prosperity, and growth, and sought collaboration from the central government to maintain the momentum of industrialization.
Updates on Welfare Initiatives
The statement further noted that Majhi informed the Home Minister about the state's development plans, law and order situation, internal security, and the implementation of various welfare schemes. He mentioned that Odisha has been recognized as a 'Naxal-free state,' creating a favorable environment for socio-economic development.
Implementation of Welfare Schemes
Majhi explained that the state government is executing welfare initiatives through the 'Gramodaya Yojana' in areas previously affected by left-wing extremism. He assured that law and order is under control due to proactive policing. The CMO reported that Shah praised the state's development and welfare efforts, assuring all possible support from the central government to meet the aspirations of the people of Odisha.
Strengthening Railway Infrastructure
Additionally, Majhi met with Vaishnaw to discuss enhancing railway infrastructure, expediting pending rail projects, and improving connectivity across the state. In a post on social media, he stated, 'Our priority is to enhance regional and industrial connectivity to accelerate economic growth. With the continuous support of the central government, we are steadily moving towards a developed and prosperous Odisha.'
