Odisha CM Offers Financial Aid to Families of Victims from Telangana Factory Blast

Compensation for Tragic Loss
Bhubaneswar: On Friday, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi of Odisha declared a compensation of Rs 10 lakh for each family affected by the tragic factory explosion in Telangana that claimed the lives of eight Odia workers earlier this week.
This financial support will be sourced from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund (CMRF), as stated in an official announcement from the Chief Minister's Office (CMO).
A dedicated team from the state government is currently at the site of the incident, overseeing the relief and medical efforts.
The victims of the explosion have been identified as Rajnala Jagan Mohan from Chhatrapur in Ganjam, Lagnajeet Duari from Paikarapur in Cuttack, Manoj Rout from Parbatipur in Balasore, Dolagobinda Sahu from Erabanka in Jajpur, Chaita Bhadra and Ramesh Gauda from Nabarangpur, Siddharth Gouda from Mahanadapur in Ganjam, and Prasant Mohapatra from Berhampur in Ganjam.
The CMO shared on X, "Honorable Chief Minister Shri @MohanMOdisha has announced financial assistance of Rs 10 lakh each from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund for the families of Odia individuals who lost their lives in an accident at a factory in Telangana. Additionally, a team of state government officials is present at the accident site, monitoring the rescue and medical operations."
The remains of the deceased have already been transported back to their hometowns in Odisha.
In total, 38 individuals lost their lives in the explosion at Sigachi Industries' facility located in Pashamylaram, Telangana, on June 30. The company has since pledged a compensation of Rs 1 crore amidst claims regarding the use of outdated machinery at the site.
