Public Grievance Resolution by Odisha's Chief Minister


Bhubaneswar: Odisha's Chief Minister, Mohan Charan Majhi, has successfully addressed over 10,000 public complaints during 11 grievance hearings since he took office, as reported by the Chief Minister's Office (CMO) on Monday.


The CMO revealed that out of 10,894 grievances submitted, 10,132 have been resolved, resulting in an impressive resolution rate of 93%.


The remaining grievances are still being processed.


On Monday, Majhi conducted the 12th public grievance hearing session, accompanied by a team of seven ministers and senior officials, since he began his tenure in June of the previous year.


During this session, the Chief Minister and his team listened to the concerns of approximately 1,000 individuals.


In line with his ongoing commitment, Majhi prioritized meeting with persons with disabilities (PwDs) before addressing other petitioners in the chamber.


The Chief Minister instructed the department secretaries present to take prompt action on the issues raised during the hearing.


A streamlined single-window system has been implemented to facilitate the immediate provision of medical assistance to patients facing critical and life-threatening conditions, funded by the Chief Minister's Relief Fund (CMRF).


Majhi approved a total of Rs 9.50 lakh in aid for 10 individuals in urgent need of medical treatment. This year alone, Rs 53.50 lakh has been allocated to 48 beneficiaries through this efficient process.


Ministers Suresh Pujari, Mukesh Mahaling, Bibhuti Bhusan Jena, Nityananda Gond, Krushna Chandra Patra, Pradeep Bal Samanta, and Ganesh Ram Singkhuntia were present with Majhi during the session.
