A Spiritual Journey in Hyderabad
Hyderabad/Bhubaneswar: On Saturday, Odisha's Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi visited the 'Statue of Equality' in Hyderabad, where he offered prayers to the revered figure Ramanujacharya.
According to an official announcement from the Chief Minister's Office, Majhi was joined by Odisha's Industries Minister, Sampad Chandra Swain, as they paid their respects to the influential philosopher, saint, and social reformer.
During his visit, the Chief Minister engaged in discussions with Sri Sri Tridandi Chinna Srimanta Narayana Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamiji, focusing on India's rich spiritual traditions, the philosophy of inclusivity, and the significance of Ramanujacharya's teachings in today's world.
"Swamiji blessed the Chief Minister and expressed his hopes for the peace, progress, and prosperity of Odisha's citizens," the statement noted.
Additionally, Majhi unveiled an Odia bhajan dedicated to Ramanujacharya, composed by Sri Sri Tridandi Ahobila Ramanuja Jeeyar Swamiji.
This song aims to make Ramanujacharya's life, teachings, and spiritual messages more accessible to Odia followers, thereby enhancing Odisha's cultural and spiritual ties to the broader Indian heritage associated with Ramanujacharya's philosophy.
Reflecting on his visit, the Chief Minister remarked that the 'Statue of Equality' stands as a magnificent emblem of India's spiritual heritage and serves as a potent reminder of the enduring principles of social justice, inclusivity, and human dignity that Ramanujacharya advocated.
He emphasized that these values continue to shape Odisha's approach to balanced development, social cohesion, and governance focused on the people.
