Celebrating One Year of Governance


Bhubaneswar: In a celebration marking the first anniversary of his administration, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi inaugurated the 'Vikas Vahan' initiative on Thursday. This program aims to inform the residents of Odisha about various welfare schemes introduced by both the central and state BJP governments.


During the event at Mahatma Gandhi Marg, Chief Secretary Manoj Ahuja announced that the Vikas Vahan Yatra is a 10-day initiative scheduled from June 12 to June 21. It will reach all 6,794 Gram Panchayat headquarters, five municipal corporations, and 115 urban local bodies across 314 blocks in Odisha.


This campaign, organized by the Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water department, is designed to share success stories related to the government's development initiatives. The specially branded vehicles will traverse the entire state.


The Chief Minister emphasized several key state government schemes, including 'Vikashit Gaon Vikashit Odisha', 'Subhadra Yojana', 'Antodaya Gruha Yojana', and programs focused on tribal and SC welfare, youth skill development, sports promotion, agricultural subsidies, the National Health Programme NITI-2020, Godabarisha Mishra Adarsh Vidyalaya Yojana, and the Sishu Vatika initiative.


"We aim to ensure that people are aware of these schemes that can enhance their lives," Majhi stated.


Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Minister Rabi Narayan Naik urged citizens to take advantage of these programs, asserting that the BJP government's primary goal is to empower the populace and improve their circumstances.


"The hardships faced during the previous BJD administration are behind us, and there is hope for a brighter future now," Naik remarked.
