Significant Investment Opportunities in Odisha

Bhubaneswar, August 8 - During a two-day investment outreach event in New Delhi, Odisha received investment proposals totaling ₹66,392 crore, which are expected to create approximately 54,135 jobs. The Chief Minister's office reported that the event concluded on Saturday. An official statement indicated that the state signed 38 memorandums of understanding (MoUs) worth ₹64,703 crore and received letters of intent (LoIs) for investments amounting to ₹1,689 crore.


This outreach event followed the successful 'Odisha Food Pro 2026' held on Friday. Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi engaged in face-to-face meetings with key investors and industry representatives, along with focused roundtable discussions on specific sectors. Majhi also visited the manufacturing unit of 'Hyer' in Noida, where he interacted with senior officials and technicians, reviewing the company's manufacturing processes and systems.


The statement highlighted that this visit provided insights into advanced manufacturing techniques and identified potential opportunities to strengthen the state's manufacturing ecosystem, particularly in electronics, sustainable consumer goods, supply chains, and ancillary industries. Majhi emphasized, 'Odisha is creating an ecosystem conducive to industrial growth, job creation, and long-term value generation. Our focus is not only on attracting investments but also on generating employment, strengthening local supply chains, and creating new opportunities for the youth.'


He expressed a desire for investors to view Odisha as a reliable and long-term partner for development.
