Nagar Third Phase. The victim, identified as Madhumita, is currently in critical condition and receiving treatment in an ICU at a private hospital.

The attack occurred around 9:15 a.m. as Madhumita, who had been employed at the clinic for approximately 18 months, stepped outside for breakfast.

According to law enforcement, her husband, Venkatesh, arrived on a motorcycle and was waiting for her near the clinic. The couple had reportedly been living apart for about a year and had lost contact.

As Madhumita exited the clinic, Venkatesh allegedly pursued her. She fled towards the clinic's cellar parking area, where he caught up with her, threw acid on her, and then attacked her multiple times with a machete while holding her by the hair.
