In a significant move against drug trafficking as part of the 'Drug-Free Himachal' initiative, the Nurpur Police have made another notable arrest. A young man was apprehended at his residence in the village of Bai Attaria, where authorities discovered 151.9 grams of charas/cannabis.
On July 29, 2026, while on patrol near the Kandrorhi barrier, police received information about a suspect named Kaushal allegedly selling charas from his home. Acting on this tip-off, the police team executed a raid with independent witnesses present and found a transparent packet containing a stick-like substance in a drawer of the bedroom. Upon weighing, the substance was confirmed to be 151.9 grams of charas/cannabis, which was promptly sealed and taken into custody.
