Nurpur Police Recover Stolen Pickup Truck Within a Day

In a remarkable operation, the Nurpur Police successfully retrieved a stolen Bolero pickup truck (JK08C-7809) from Sujanpur (Pathankot) within just 24 hours of the theft being reported.
The theft was reported by Balkar Singh, son of Munshi Ram, who resides in Matholi village, Vasa Waziran, Tehsil Nurpur, District Kangra. He stated that he had parked his vehicle near the Old Cinema Hall in Jasur at approximately 5:00 PM on January 8, 2026. When he returned the following morning at 9:00 AM, the vehicle was gone.
Following the complaint, an FIR No. 15/26 was filed on January 9, 2026, under Section 303(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) against unidentified individuals.
Investigation and Recovery
The Nurpur Police initiated a thorough investigation, utilizing evidence analysis and technical tracking methods, which led to the successful recovery of the stolen vehicle from Sujanpur.
Authorities are currently working to identify and apprehend those responsible for the theft.
