Major Drug Trafficking Operation in Nurpur

On the first day of the new year, the Nurpur Police celebrated a significant victory in their relentless fight against drug trafficking. Continuing their anti-narcotics initiative, which has been in place for several years, law enforcement conducted a raid in the jurisdiction of Dumtal Police Station at Sanghehar village.


During the operation, authorities searched a residence owned by Rajinder Kumar, also known as Nanu, the son of Babu Ram, who resides in Sanghehar, Mohatli, Tehsil Indora, District Kangra. The search resulted in the recovery of 7.75 grams of heroin, also referred to as chitta.


In the aftermath of the seizure, a case has been filed against the suspect under Sections 21, 61, and 85 of the NDPS Act at Dumtal Police Station. The accused has been taken into custody following legal protocols, and the investigation is ongoing.
