Recently, the PO Cell of the Nurpur Police District successfully apprehended two individuals wanted in separate cases linked to the Nurpur Police Station.

- First Case (Section 138 NI Act): On September 22, 2026, the PO Cell team promptly arrested Prem Chand in a cheque bounce case under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act. He had been declared a proclaimed offender by the Hon’ble JMFC Court, Nurpur, on February 5, 2020.
- Second Case (FIR No. 37/23 IPC): On September 23, 2026, acting on reliable information, the PO Cell team apprehended Rashpal Singh in the Talara area concerning a case of assault and unlawful entry. He was declared a proclaimed offender by the Hon’ble ACJM Court, Nurpur, on June 8, 2026, in FIR No. 37/23, which was registered under Sections 452, 323, 324, and 504 IPC at Nurpur Police Station.
