Second Major Crackdown Within a Week; Illegal Structure Worth ₹40–50 Lakh Built on Government Land Razed Under Legal Process

In a decisive move against drug trafficking, the Nurpur Police have demolished a residence linked to a drug suspect, which was unlawfully erected on government property. This action is part of a broader initiative by the state government aimed at combating narcotics networks.

The demolition is associated with FIR No. 270/24 filed at the Nurpur Police Station against the individual known as Bunty. Investigations indicated that the property was constructed using funds derived from heroin sales. After the Revenue Department confirmed the encroachment on government land, the police executed the demolition in accordance with legal protocols.

Second Major Action in a Week This operation marks the second significant action taken within a week. Previously, on May 14, the residence of Sukhdev Singh from Damtal was also demolished due to its connection with drug trafficking proceeds.

This initiative is in line with directives from the Chief Minister, who emphasized the need for robust actions against drug traffickers and their illegally obtained properties during a recent NCORD meeting.

The Nurpur Police have reaffirmed their dedication to pursuing rigorous legal measures against drug dealers and fostering a drug-free community.
