In a significant development under its ongoing Anti-Chitta Campaign, the Nurpur Police have received authorization from the relevant authorities under the SAFEM (FOP)A and NDPS Act, New Delhi to freeze assets exceeding ₹1.01 crore that are allegedly connected to drug trafficking proceeds.

This action is a result of an extensive financial investigation carried out by the Indora Police Station related to an NDPS case initiated in 2017, which uncovered assets believed to have been obtained through illegal drug trade.

As per police reports, Dalviro was found guilty by a court on April 1, 2025, for her involvement in a heroin trafficking case, where 6.50 grams of heroin were seized from her. She received a sentence of 10 years of rigorous imprisonment along with a fine of ₹1 lakh.

Following the financial investigation's conclusions, the Indora Police issued a freezing order on September 28, 2026. This order was subsequently confirmed by the Competent Authority in New Delhi on October 26, 2026, after a thorough review of the evidence.

Details of Frozen Properties

The confirmed freezing order encompasses three properties valued at a total of ₹1,01,55,718:

  • A residential property owned by Dalviro in Channi village, Indora, appraised at ₹61.96 lakh.

  • A residential building along with furniture and household items owned by Mithun alias Chhapar, valued at ₹32.60 lakh.

  • A Maruti Suzuki car (HP38E-0464) registered to Gharo Devi, worth ₹6.98 lakh.

The police indicated that this action is in accordance with Section 68F(2) of Chapter V-A of the NDPS Act, which prohibits the transfer, sale, or disposal of these assets, facilitating further legal actions.

Total Assets Frozen in Anti-Drug Efforts

The Nurpur Police have emphasized that their anti-drug initiatives extend beyond merely seizing narcotics and apprehending traffickers. They are actively pursuing and targeting the financial assets derived from illegal drug activities to undermine the economic foundation of narcotics operations.

Authorities disclosed that assets valued at ₹31.71 crore linked to drug traffickers have been frozen in the Nurpur Police District to date, following confirmations from the competent authority.

The police have urged the community to provide any information regarding drug trafficking and illegal narcotics activities to bolster the ongoing fight against drug-related issues.
